JIM BEHAN NEW PRESIDENT OF EIWC
Kathleen Kelly has served on the Irish Wolfhound Club of Ireland (IWCI) committee for twenty years and more. Both John and Kathleen have decided to retire from the committee, to cut back on their many commitments and take life a little easier in the future.
During their time they have been the backbone of the club, always being ready to step in to help and guide with whatever new project is being considered. Likewise Kathleen as President of the EIWC was always a vocal
and enthusiastic advocate for Irish Wolfhounds to be represented throughout Europe; she has always wanted to be a part of the proceedings.
Jim Behan is the new President of the IWCI and by extension of the EIWC. Jim has been with Wolfhounds since his youngest days and began making champions of his dogs in the 1970s. He has also served on the committee of the IWCI for a number of years, edited the 'Irish Hound', and is active in organising and running dog shows in Ireland. A Specialist judge of a hound he has a well learned and deserved reputation for helping new owners
appreciate the breed. We hope all members of the EIWC will join together to send Jim our best wishes in his new role. He can be contacted at President@IWCofIreland.com |
